Job Description

This is a superb role for a Development Chef who is able to combine their creative food skills with market insight knowledge to deliver commercially viable products for both retail and branded high street restaurants. Working in what is a growing and topical market there is huge scope to combine global food trends and flavour profiles and ingredients … a Chefs dream.

Working closely with the Sales & Marketing Team and Account Managers you will be challenged to create fresh, healthy, short shelf-life products that meet each of your customers unique needs. As the site Development Chef you will be encouraged to lead tasting and innovation sessions, engaging with clients and colleagues. Your passion and knowledge for food and core ingredients will need to be extensive, you will need to be able to demonstrate that you can combine flavours and textures to produce exciting recipes.

You will need to manage multiple projects and be able to accurately record information that can become a point of reference for others, and become a trusted point of contact for clients. As well as working closely with leading retailers including Tesco and Morrisons, and recognisable high street restaurant chains you will play a key part in the continuous development of the companies own branded products, some that are first to market . . . your food knowledge and culinary ability will contribute to grow this further.
