Job Description

Our client is well known on the high street, with a number of branded pubs in their estate. Their emphasis is on delivering first class customer service, as many of their pubs are the hub of their communities with a loyal following.

We are searching for an experienced Training and Development Manager to cover a six month maternity leave, and as such you will need to be able to ‘hit the ground running’. Your responsibilities will cover writing and implementing measurable training programmes to execute new menu cycles and deliver food training and safety workshops. You will work with Area Managers and site teams to agree best practices that will allow teams to achieve target margins and provide the highest standards of food delivery and service.

As the Food & Catering Manager you will need to possess intuitive interpersonal and organisational skills to prioritise your workload, keeping in touch with Head Office and Area Managers. You will support a number of units mainly in the South West; c. 40. Travel will play an important part of the role, visiting individual business units each day to support and train mainly back of house and kitchen staff. You should be a source of inspiration, support and guidance to the pubs teams to ensure that are able to efficiently deliver the highest standards of food safety and delivery, maximising sales potential at all times. You will need to be prepared to don your chef whites and work in the kitchen when necessary to further develop practical skills and build team confidence.
