Tom Allen at the World Sandwichship, Sydney

On October 7th Tom Allen represented the United Kingdom in the first World Sandwichship in Sydney. The final was held at Sydney's famous Opera House. Tom finished the competition winning The World's Best National Sandwich 16 points ahead of his nearest competitor, with his baby watercress and porcini rubbed rare roast beef, caramelised shallot and beetroot chutney topped with horseradish ice cream.....Joanna Savill judge and Editor of the Sydney Morning Herald described Tom's sandwich as poetry in her mouth!
