We are looking for a great Development Chef who wants to be part of the team that will change the entire food offer of a well known high street retailer.

This well known high street retailer offers quality food and refreshments in its large in store coffee shops and restaurants.

Strategically it has decided to change the product offering by delivering a whole new eating experience - more gastro focused in all its stores. This will be rolled out firstly from its flagship store in the city of London and then out to its other branches.

To ensure the delivery of this, they are looking to recruit a Development Head Chef who can create innovative and inspiring dishes.

The ideal candidate will have experience gained within a consumer focused food service position or from busy gastro style outlets producing good quality food with robust flavours in high numbers.

This will be a challenging and exciting role and will require the Development Head Chef to use initiative and team-working skills to best effect. The role will be an integral and pivotal role within the food development department working closely with the NPD food Development Manager.

You will be involved in the whole development process from recipe writing, product testing and bench marking through to the product launch including the style of crockery to showcase the menu dishes to their best appeal.

You will be challenged with the task of arranging samples for photography and presentation shoots and ensuring consistency and quality through out.

Excellent communication skills are a must, as you present your ideas internally up to boardroom level. The role will also require you to forge good relationships with suppliers ensuring provenance and quality of raw material and finished products.
